Start, Struggle, Survive and Succeed

Hello, my name is Wakime and I am soon to be 50 years old. Like all of us, I
have a story to tell. My story is not a story of great success or riches, at least not yet.
My story is called “Start, Struggle, Survive and Succeed”. Based on my experiences,
those 4 words are fundamental in the process of life. They have been the core of all my
triumphs and shortcomings. The second group of words you will often hear me use are
Fitness, Family, Friends and Foes. Words are just words, unless you decide to use
them with a purpose. I have built an essential relationship with these words over the
years and they have brought me to this stage of my life.

I have written several books and many poems over the course of five decades,
but I don’t consider myself a writer. Most of them I have never finished. I could not
finish because writing was only used as an escape. One day I did not want to run
anymore. I finished my first short book in the Fall of 2017. It is called the “Promise”. In
the Winter of 2021 I wrote my Autobiography “ Dear Life I am Afraid”. Even though I
finished two books, I still did not consider myself a writer. The reason is… I believe you
are what you do consistently. So here I am attempting to be consistent.

Where I started and where I am now are not as important as the process it took
to get from A to Z each time. I have learned to work on myself when I didn’t have
motivation by using discipline. I have been able to make progress even when I did not
want to. I have created amazing habits (still have a few bad ones) that have allowed
me to move further toward my goals. I always wanted to be an author, a public speaker
and an individual who helps others reach their goals and potential. At the age 50 years

old, I finally have all the tools needed to drive these ambitions forward. I used to think
for hours about what I wanted to do. I would drive in silence and daydream about it!
However, I never truly put one foot over the other and began walking toward those
passions. I spent the last few months adding small tasks to my daily life in preparation
to become all the adjectives, verbs and nouns I dreamt about. Subscribe to my blog,
and get to know me. I will help you help yourself. I help myself everyday. Others help
me everyday. The self-help makes the difference. People will bend over backwards to
help someone who is always helping themselves.
Thank you for your time. I appreciate the fact that you are reading my blog.
People need people in order to live an abundant life. I could honestly say that I am
ready to live and fulfill my dreams. This dream will not take place while I sleep.

Today’s word is START

Today I started my lifelong journey as a true writer, because I am going to

start writing consistently.
